| 1:
DON'T be offended! : If you do a piece of work, and for whatever
reason I don't want to use it, don't get offended. I'm kinda picky,
so don't get bent out of shape. This whole project is about giving
talented artists a small platform to showcase their work and maybe
make some money for themselves. (Don't expect to make a million
dollars... I haven't. If you do, hook me up!)
2:
NO MASS MANUFACTURING : The Fan Arts Project is for fans
who want to create a small batch of pieces or one of a kind things.
If you're churning out a bunch of stuff, I will find out, and there
will be problems. If there's something you REALLY want to make a
lot of, contact me.
3:
IF IT'S NOT LISTED ON THE SITE, DON'T BUY IT! : All artwork/things
I post on the Fan Arts Page is considered “approved.”
If it's not listed, don't buy it. If there's something you think
I should look at, let me know. If it's not something I want to feature,
refer to Rule 1.
4:
LIABILITY : If you made it, it's your responsibility. I will
not be held liable for anyone's work. If you make a plush and it
explodes... that's your fault. Contact the artist who created it
and yell at them.
5:
ADULT STUFF : Yeah, It's out there already, but assuming
the artwork is exception, I will allow it, and it will be placed
in an “Adults Only” section. I will be extremely picky
about “adult content” and it will be judged on it's
artistic quality. Even “erotic arts” are an art form,
and if people are going to do it anyway, I'd still like to help
out the really good artists.
6:
WHAT CAN I MAKE? : One of a kind type things like; Plush,
weird hats, artwork for posters, Fan-Art Sketch Books, and “FAN
SERIES COMICS”. (Novels are also a possibility, but like artwork,
I will be kinda picky.) If you want to make a digital comic, It
needs to be clearly labeled “FAN SERIES” or something
like that. I'll set up some graphics for it eventually. (Gumroad.com
is a no-fee set up for digital goods. Something to look into) Neurotically
Yours, 4y-Records, Minion's Quest, & Dia & Tofu are all
series one can choose to work from.
7:
DO NOT MAKE : Apps, Games, Shirts, Movies, Digital Music
Albums of squeaky voiced characters claiming it's Foamy, etc. If
you are uncertain about something, ask! Anyone wanting to work on
a game should contact me, because I'd like to have a hand in it.
(I have plenty of ideas for Fighters, Platformers, etc.) Do not
use other peoples work in yours!
8:
CREDIT : ALL work should have the following credit line:
“All Characters Copyright: Jonathan Ian Mathers. All Rights
Reserved. Used With Permission. illwillpress.com.”. If it's
a poster or comic book, you can make it a small line at the bottom
or inside the book. Things like Plush should have the line somewhere
noticeable on the page it's displayed.
9: WHAT'S IN IT FOR J.i.M? : Nothin'.
Seriously. This is just a small place for talented artists to showcase
their work. If you feel the need to compensate me somehow, become
a patron on PATREON
: !
10 : LIMITATIONS, ABUSE & TAKEDOWNS :
Not many artists allow their Characters or Intellectual Property
to be “loaned” to fellow artists. With that being said,
please respect this opportunity. Approach this as if it were a gallery
showing. Someplace for you to showcase a iLL WiLL PrEss-related
piece which may call attention to your other works. This is not
a platform for someone to start their own Foamy factory. This is
not a platform for ANY company to use the characters in ANY form
of mass production. I still retain the rights to all my Neurotically
Yours/iLL WiLL PrEss related properties and reserve the right to
take down any work that does not adhere to the above guidelines.
Again, if you think this is a free pass to use my characters to
create some sort of company for yourself, it's not. It's for independent
artists who WANT to work on Foamy-Related things and possibly sell
a small batch of posters, plush, etc. I don't like paying my lawyer,
so don't make me. If I get complaints about a piece of work, I will
take it down. And, also... for legal reasons, the terms and cancellation
of this project may change or be canceled at any time. If the Fan-Arts
project is canceled, all “approved” work should cease
monitization within 2 weeks of notice. If you are using any of the
intellectual property contained within iLL WiLL Press, LLC, and
you are requested to stop the monitization of an iLL WiLL PrEss
related work, you are expected to do so within 2 weeks of notice.
If abuse of these rules are severe enough to follow legal precceedings,
all legal fees will be the responsibility of the abusive party...
meaning you. (I don't see it coming to that, but just be warned.
Even though I'm respectful and polite with people, and willing to
work with everyone, I am VERY protective of my intellectual property
and do not want it abused.)
